I got a new phone and now the authenticator app doesn't work. How do I fix it?

Answer

You may need to delete the connection to the Authenticator App on your old phone.

  1. Go to https://go.wncc.edu/myaccount
  2. Log in with your WNCC account
  3. If it prompts you to verify your identity, click the "I can't use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now" link

  4. Choose an alternate method for verification and complete logging in

  5. Click on the Security Info tile

  6. Find the line with Microsoft Authenticator line and click delete

  7. Go through the steps to re-set up the app on your new phone
